The right leaky gut syndrome treatment is very important to figure out fast because if you make a mistake, you might suffer more needlessly. It can cause other major health conditions.

What is Leaky Gut Syndrome?

Foods that we consume always have some toxins and these toxins are regularly repelled by the small intestine. The small intestine is a barrier for toxins, bacteria and even food particles that have not been properly digested.

If you have leaky gut syndrome, the small intestine, which usually repels these toxins, will allow them to enter the bloodstream. This will then cause serious health problems aside from some mild symptoms.

 Leaky Gut Syndrome Symptoms

There are a lot of symptoms that are associated with leaky gut syndrome. Some of the most common are gas, skin infections, cramps, diarrhea and constipation. There a lot more and as you can see, these symptoms are not necessarily limited to symptoms that only affect the digestive tract.

Causes of Leaky Gut

Your intestinal tract can handle the intake of foods that can potentially be harmful to you. It can only be weakened when you eat these foods over and over. Over time, these foods can damage the gut that the intestine can become permeable. The problems you will face after that will be very debilitating.

Your diet can cause leaky gut. Your diet needs to be composed of foods that are clean, nutritious and if you can, organically grown. These foods are helpful to the gut because they don’t strain it. Foods that you should stay away from are foods that contain high chemical levels, high sugar and contaminated foods.

Medicines can also lead to the development of leaky gut syndrome. Certain medication can cause side effects and this side effect is the damage to the gut. Samples are antibiotics and Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs. You should stay away from them if you can. If you can’t, try to consume only the minimum amount.

Candida and Leaky Gut

If you don’t know what candida is, it is a yeast organism that can be found in some parts of the body. The part of the body that we will be focusing on is the intestinal tract. Usually, candida yeast are found here and that is normal. Problems will occur when these yeast grow in numbers and cause trouble.

When they grow in numbers, the beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract will be overrun and they cannot restore the balance anymore. This will lead to leaky gut and yeast entering the bloodstream. Candida yeast overgrowth is another cause of leaky gut syndrome.
